Gang of Wahoos

Multiple prints of a small wahoo (Acanthocybium Solandri) were made on cotton canvas. The Gyotaku technique, with the application of organic sumi ink directly on the fish, combined with acrylic touch-ups, gives a unique artistic dimension to each print.

The particularly interesting aspect of this work is that the fish was consumed after the print was made, demonstrating a sustainable and authentic approach to angling. The reference to Guadeloupe adds a cultural and local dimension to this creation, revealing the influence of the region's marine environment.
